Daína Chaviano and Antonio Orlando Rodríguez Present their New Books
Huso Ediciones, a publishing house based in Madrid (Spain), presents in Miami two short story collections: Extraños testimonios, by Daína Chaviano, and Salchichas vienesas y otras ficciones, by Antonio Orlando Rodríguez. In these works, two of the most prestigious contemporary Cuban writers invite the reader to explore the territories of fantasy through surprising literary paths.

Daína Chaviano is the author of novels like The Island of Eternal Love (Penguin Books), Casa de juegos y Gata encerrada, and the short story collections El abrevadero de los dinosaurios and Los mundos que amo, among other works. She won the Azorín Prize for nBest Novel in Spain, with El hombre, la hembra y el hambre, and the Anna Seghers Prize, in Germany, for Fábulas de una abuela extraterrestre.
Antonio Orlando Rodríguez is the author of the novels Chiquita (Alfaguara Prize for Best Novel, Spain) and Aprendices de brujo. He also has published the short story collections Striptease and Querido Drácula, and the play The Lion and the Tamer. In addition, he is the author of numerous works of narrative and poetry for children, and essays on children’s literature.
