CCEMiami, Miami Dade County Auditorium and U.S. Century Bank present María Toledo in concert at MDCA on May 18th and 19th 2018 at 8pm. This concert is part of the fourth edition of the program FlamenGO 2018 “The flame of flamenco on the go”.

Maria Toledo represents current cutting-edge flamenco. She is the first female singer in the history of flamenco who performs while playing the piano. Singer and pianist Maria Toledo is a two-time Latin Grammy nominee.  In 2015 her album conSentido earned a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Album of the Year and Best Flamenco Album.  In 2016, her most recent album Magnetic was nominated for Best Flamenco Album and Best Engineered Album.

Mario Toledo is a trailblazer in current cutting-edge flamenco. who performs while accompanying herself at the piano.

FlamenGO is an international alternative program that CCEMiami have created with the intention of presenting to the community in South Florida, young emerging flamenco artists. The whole program consists in a series of activities related with flamenco culture in all its disciplines including visual arts, music and performing arts.

During the past years this program has had an important impact for Downtown. It has created a meeting place for people where they can enjoy flamenco in an intimate, different and more relaxed way.  FlamenGO is intended to support flamenco artists from Spain, usually musicians and dancers, many of them are the youngest generations of well-known dynasties of artists.
