About the first place:
The jury granted, by a majority of votes, the first place to the book of poems entitled Tropología by Eduardo Negueruela Azarola, due to its exquisite variety, conceptual as well as formal, its mastering of the literary resources of the Spanish language, and the perfect understanding and equilibrium between experimental and traditional poetry.
About the honorable mention:
The jury granted an honorable mention to the book of poems entitled De puertas para adentro by Catalina Arenas, due to its coherence and the unity of the manuscript. It is a work of poetry markedly written by a woman, where the author describes a world of sensations in an intense and passionate manner, dealing with topics of intimacy such as desire, maternity, and loneliness. |
