America Reads Spanish is a program aimed to increase the use and reading of Spanish language through the thousands of libraries, schools and book stores of this country. To better convey and disseminate this message, America Reads Spanish is counting on numerous partners that include professional associations, bookstore chains, public and private libraries and prominent Hispanic associations in this country. Rafael Ábalos
As a teenager, Rafael Ábalos was an avid reader of adventure stories. A lawyer for many years, he discovered by accident that he loved to write these stories as well. His first book for young readers, Grimpow: The Invisible Road, will be published around the world in 27 countries. He lives and writes in southern Spain. |

Juan Bonilla
A Spanish writer and journalist born in Jerez de la Frontera in 1966. Bonilla’s first book, Veinticinco años de éxitos, published in 1993, is a compilation of his best journalistic articles. That same year, Bonilla published Minifundios, his first book of short stories and in 1994 he released El que apaga la luz.
In 1996, the author’s first adult-oriented novel, Nadie conoce a nadie, was published, followed by two others: Cansados de estar muertos and Los príncipes nubios. Bonilla has also published books of poetry. |
